PETMEND + Animal Hospital

Noelle M. DeMasi, D.V.M., C.V.A., DVetHom, M.S.D.L.

Dr. Noelle DeMasi Dr. Noelle M. DeMasi graduated with honors from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1987 after completing an externship at Oradell Animal Hospital in New Jersey with a specialty interest in surgery. She spent an additional year in post-doctorial surgical training. Dr. DeMasi developed and operated VRSIC, a veterinary relief company, subcontracting highly skilled veterinarians able to operate veterinary hospitals throughout the country, allowing practice owners vacation time or personal leave.

In the early 90s, due to her dissatisfaction with some of the limitations in conventional medicine, Dr. DeMasi began her studies in complementary therapies including acupuncture, herbs, homeopathy and nutraceuticals. A certified veterinary acupuncturist and licensed in 13 states, Dr. DeMasi is an active member of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Society, the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, the American Association of Veterinary Acupuncturists, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the NYSVMA as well as the WVMA.

Dr. DeMasi began Pet Mend + Animal Hospital in 1994 in Larchmont, New York, and recently relocated and expanded her practice to Mamaroneck, New York. The practice's motto of "Petcare with love to spare," was one adopted from the very beginning with the idea that through excellence in combination of complementary and conventional medicine, the one-on-one service of care would never be lost. Her special interest is a more gently holistic approach to animal healing and wellness. She has taught courses throughout Westchester for the layperson on the various holistic pet therapies, lectured on local news and radio shows, and has been a guest speaker for veterinary groups.

"What I see for the future is complementary therapy becoming part of the mainstream and pet owners becoming more actively involved in the health and well-being of their companions. I see the veterinarian helping to empower the owner to do just this, providing for exceptional medicine and longevity of the companion pet. Geriatric medicine has become a large part of our practice. OLD AGE IS NOT A DIAGNOSIS!"

Therapies include, but not limited to:

Consultative combined Western and Eastern medicine in a standardized fashion to best suit the needs of the animal patient through the utilization of all of the modalities where East vs. West and including nutraceuticals & diet plans catered to the special needs of the pet.
